A visit to Auckland New Zealand can be adrenalin-filled, cultural or full of salt spray.

On an Auckland map, look for Queen Street - the centre of the city, Right in the centre of Queen Street is Auckland's Sky Tower where in the sunny weather you can get 360 degree views across to Mount Cook and over to the harbour and the Auckland Harbour Bridge. If you like adrenalin - try a sky jump off Sky Tower in a cable-controlled base jump.

If you are travelling with your family, spend a day at Rainbows End Adventure Park in Manuka City for a day of fun rides and entertainment.

To learn more about the history of New Zealand, visit the War Memorial Museum. The Auckland Museum has over 3 floors of Maori art and history and daily performances highlighting the Maori culture. If you would like to learn more about the unique reptiles and animals of New Zealand, tour the Auckland Zoo and see a kiwi or tuatara.

For theatre and entertainment head down to the Aotea Centre and the Civic Theatre in Auckland or visit Sky City under the Sky Tower with its theatres, casinos and hotel.

Auckland is known as the City of Sails, so a visit to the Waitemata Harbour, the Viaduct Harbour or America's Cup Harbour is a-must, to take in the stunning waterways of Auckland. Or take a ferry to one of over 50 islands, or visit the quaint village of Devonport.

Explore the many Auckland beaches - which range from soft golden sand with safe swimming, to thundering surf on black volcanic sand.
